FEATURED! Day to Night Editorial on Magnolia Rouge

Y'all. Y'all. Y'all. Our day to night editorial has been featured on Magnolia Rouge today!!! Think clean. Think minimal. Think Linda-style. This shoot completely jived with my personal and aspiring aesthetic.

Our concept was to follow the bride's journey through the excitement of her wedding day to the anticipation of her wedding night. It was an honor to be able to shoot at the amazing Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Talk about the most perfect venue and backdrop.

I'm going to sit here and brag on all the vendor friends that helped to make this shoot a reality, as you can browse through all the pretty pictures in a bit!

First, is Allen Tsai. Allen and I have known each other for almost eight years now. (Holy cow!) It has been really inspiring to see his business and brand explode. He is one of the most hardest working photographers. Just go to his Instagram profile and see his travel schedule. This was our first shoot though, and I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that it turned out pretttttty well. He is a magician with film, y'all.

Our model, Andrea, made everything look so dang good. All outfits fit her like a glove. Like they were tailor made for her. Let's talk about the wedding gowns and wedding robe. We have this gorgeous bridal robe from Pure Paris - floor length. Lace. Just the right mix of allure and sophistication.

The beautiful Alexandra Grecco wedding gown that we got from Lovely Bride had the most deliciously simple silhouette, but when worn, was just a jawdropper. The plunging neckline was the perfect amount of demure and elegance. The train, and the way it draped. Goodness, y'all. It's a winner.

Elizabeth Leese Bridal provided us with the showstopping bridal jumper that we used for the reception look. The illusion side panel gave us just a taste of skin. The perfectly placed sash just made the entire look drape so gorgeously. She does custom pieces, but this beauty is from her ready-to-wear collection.

Let's talk about this cake. Manda Mobley constructs these works of art and translate them into her cakes. She dreamed up this cement inspired wedding cake, with flakes of gold leaf, and I don't think you could have asked for a more perfect marriage of Modern Art Museum plus cake.

When I first approached Abelia Floral Studio about this minimalist concept, I KNEW Lauren and Briley just got it. There is nothing more invigorating then when you are collaborating, and your vendors not only see the vision in your head, but they extract it and make it grander than you could ever imagine. Just TAKE A LOOK. Two different looks for the bridal and boudoir portions. Opposites attract. White for boudoir. Color for bridal.

The tablescape spoke volumes with such minimal arrangements. The pops of black decor helped to add depth and meaning. Just look at it!! And gasp. And squeal. And then just stare. The acrylic furniture provided by Top Tier Event Rentals along with the gray stoneware plates and matte black silverware made the biggest impact.

I knew I could turn to no one else but Betty with Scribbles and Swirls. Her use of vellum in the invitations and handwritten vows worked beautifully with the color palette of the whole shoot. I'm obsessed with white ink, and she introduced her 'Gizmo' font for this. Invitations set the whole tone for your wedding, as it's the first glimpse into what your guests see.

Quynh with Q Makeup Artistry was able to create such low drama, high impact looks for both the bridal and boudoir sessions. Andrea had such a glow about her, and Q was able to transform the perfectly coifed low chignon bun into a tousled, yet gorgeously unkempt down style.

My dear and talented friend, Esther, of Esther Kao Jewelry was able to create these unique black onyx pieces. I love nothing more oval shaped gemstones, and she incorporated that into not only the ring, but the coordinating bangle as well. Nothing elevates an outfit more than custom wedding jewelry.
